Lauren Diegel-Vacek, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, CNE, FAANP is Clinical Associate Professor and
interim Associate Executive Dean at the UIC College of Nursing. A nurse educator for 15 years,
she holds national certifications as a family nurse practitioner and Certified Nurse Educator. She is a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse
Practitioners and has published and presented nationally on nurse practitioner and DNP
program education, building and sustaining academic practice partnerships and innovative
faculty practice models
