David T. House, DNP, CRNP, ENP-C, FNP-BC, CNS, CEN, CNE, FAEN, is an Associate Professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Recognized for his expertise in emergency services, and with over 23 years of experience in clinical practice, Dr. House leads initiatives from the local to national level to improve advanced practice education. Through active leadership, his interprofessional collaboration leads innovative educational initiatives, advances NP clinical practice, and enhances emergency department process improvement. Most recently, he served as co-author of the 2021 ENP Competencies. Dr. House is an elected Fellow in the Academy of Emergency Nursing.
