Dr. Melanie Gibbons Hallman has been a leader in prehospital and hospital emergency services for over 40 years. She is an Associate Professor and Emergency Nurse Practitioner Subspecialty Pathway Co-Coordinator at The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing where her teaching focus is in masters and doctoral studies. She has actively practiced as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner for the past 28 years. Dr. Hallman's passion for emergency services is reflected in the breadth of her leadership nationally, statewide, and locally across nursing and pre-hospital emergency care organizations. She is committed to educating safe, compassionate, high-quality emergency nurses.
