Kathie S. Zimbro, PhD, RN is the Lead Nurse Scientist for Sentara Healthcare. Research interests include population health, disparities in healthcare delivery, and predictive modeling. She has 35 manuscripts published in referred journals and over $1.6 million in extramural funding. Dr. Zimbro was honored as the 2017 recipient of the Clinical Researcher Award by the Southern Nursing Research Society Governing Board. In 2021, Dr. Zimbro was awarded the Daisy Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognizes nurses who devote their life’s work to the compassionate care of others and promote a positive image of nursing.
