Dr. Stapleton recently retired from Academic Nursing Education after 15 years as an assistant professor, associate professor, professor, and department chair at Concordia College-Moorhead, Missouri State University, and Illinois State University. He is currently a staff nurse at the Sanford Pain Clinic in Fargo, ND. He practiced as a staff nurse in the ICU, Emergency Department, operating room, and EMS System Coordinator. He has actively participated in ENA at the state and national levels, holds the CEN Certificate and is a Fellow in the Academy of Emergency Nursing. Dr. Stapleton has published in JEN and other academic journals.
