Dr. Eckhardt is the Associate Chair of Clinical Education at the University of Texas at Arlington. Dr. Eckhardt is involved in research about emergency department nurses' triage decision making related to acute coronary syndrome including the impact of COVID-19 on triage decisions. Her program of research focuses on cardiovascular disease symptomatology with a specific focus on fatigue. Dr. Eckhardt's current research also includes development of an instrument to determine how the lay public conceives of chest pain related to acute coronary syndrome. In addition, she is the co-author of Jarvis Physical Examination and Health Assessment (9th ed.).
